5 Steps To Confirm Your Enrollment

 Step 1: Financial Aid

  • If you have met the priority admission deadline (November 1 or March 1), ensure that you have completed and returned the Scholarship & Grant application to the Financial Aid office found here.   
  • For priority admission accepted students, please return the Financial Aid Award Letter accepting or denying any scholarship awards. 
  • If you would like to apply for a student loan or have other financial aid questions, contact Jeremy Shunk, the Director of Financial Aid, at 816.268.5424 or 800.831.3011 ext. 5424, or at jlshunk@nts.edu.

Step 2: Confirmation

  • Confirmation formalizes your intent to begin coursework at NTS. This step can be completed using the online confirmation form or the paper form that came with your acceptance packet in the mail. Return it to the Office of the Registrar and Admissions as soon as possible by fax, email, or mail. Our fax number is 816.268.5500.
  • The Confirmation Deposit gives you access to Moodle and the online portal site. It also is the trigger to schedule your appointment with the Registrar to select your courses. You can either enclose a check when you return your Confirmation of Enrollment form, or click here to pay your fee online using your credit or debit card. This non-refundable deposit will be credited to your account when you enroll. 
    • NOTE:  If you choose to pay your enrollment deposit online, there will be a $3.00 credit card processing fee added to the enrollment deposit (thus making the total paid online $103.00 rather than $100.00).  
  • If any of your contact information (address, email, phone) has or will be changing, please contact the Office of the Registrar and Admissions as soon as possible at 816.268.5442 or 800.831.3011, ext. 5442, or at registrar@nts.edu

Step 3: Register for Classes

  • Schedule a registration appointment with the Office of the Registrar and Admissions as soon as possible to ensure placement in your desired courses. Note that videoconference and online courses fill quickly! You can meet by phone or in person. Contact the Registrar at 816.268.5442 or 800.831.3011, ext. 5442, or at registrar@nts.edu.
  • Before your meeting with the Registrar, familiarize yourself with the requirements of your intended degree program, diploma, or certificate, by perusing the NTS Academic Catalog, degree program requirement worksheets, course syllabi, and upcoming course schedules.
  • Meet with the Registrar for your registration/advising appointment.
  • Check Moodle for your course syllabi.

Step 4: Educational Technology at NTS: MOODLE

  • Once we have received your confirmation of enrollment, you will receive instructions (including a username and password) that will allow you to log into Moodle, the Seminary’s online educational platform (this information will be sent to the email listed on your confirmation form). 
  • If you have trouble logging on, please follow these instructions before seeking help:
    • Log on to Moodle  
    • Click ‘User Login’
    • Click ‘Forgot My Password’ link and follow the instructions
    • A new password will be sent to the email listed on your confirmation form
    • Return to Moodle login page and enter your username (Firstname.Lastname) and the password that was emailed to you
  • If you have any (additional) problems or questions regarding Moodle, please contact the NTS Moodle Help Desk. 

Step 5: Participate in the “Welcome to Seminary” on moodle & attend the Community Connection luncheons hosted on your campus

  • “Welcome to Seminary” (aka New Student Orientation) is available on Moodle for ALL new students.
  • Community Connection Luncheons are held at each of our multi-campus sites (including Kansas City).
